Redefining Motherhood
Redefining Motherhood: Embrace Your Full Self
Motherhood is a beautiful journey, but it’s not the entirety of who you are. You are more than just “mum,” and it’s time to embrace all the parts of you that make you unique. The collaboration between Connect and Empower with Tess Jasmine and Play Prescription with Dr Sam Casey , is here to help support you to break free from the social constructs that often leave mothers feeling trapped or defined by others’ expectations.
Being the best mum you can be starts with taking care of yourself. You deserve to:
✨ Fill your own cup first – because you can’t pour from an empty one.
✨ Challenge societal expectations – and define motherhood on your terms.
✨ Rediscover your passions – reconnecting with the dreams and goals that light you up.
✨ Create balance – where your needs and roles work together in harmony.
Motherhood is just one chapter of your story—it doesn’t define the whole book. By prioritizing your well-being, you’ll create space for a more joyful, connected, and fulfilling life, both for yourself and your family.
Let’s work together to redefine what motherhood means for you. You deserve to thrive.
Domestic Abuse Support
Our Team at Connect & Empower understand the complexities of Domestic Abuse situations and are here to listen - whether you need to share your story or seek guidance when doubt clouds your intuition and causes you to second guess yourself.
If you are unsure if what you are experiencing is abuse, reach out. We can help you to identify patterns of abuse, coercive control and provide you with strategies to assist you in managing your reactions and navigate triggering situations safely.
Our support also extends beyond listening. We can work with you to carefully create an action plan tailored to your unique circumstances, providing guidance and strategies to help you navigate away from abusive situations safely. Whether you're wanting to stay, considering leaving or just need a little assistance to start to trust yourself again, we're here to help you chart a path toward a safer, healthier future.
Moreover, Connect and Empower is committed to connecting you with additional resources and external support agencies. We can help outline avenues for legal advice, counseling support, and guidance from other organizations specializing in aiding individuals in similar circumstances. You don't have to navigate this journey alone—we're here to support you every step of the way.
Our goal is to empower you to reclaim control of your life.

If you have/or are thinking of leaving your marriage/relationship visit Centrelink (going in person is often easier than over the phone) and find out everything you are entitled to apply for, and apply for it all. Every little bit helps. Some examples are: Single parenting, Pension/health card, Family Tax A and B, Rent assistance.
Child Support – Apply for an assessment to ensure you are receiving what you are entitled to, but also ensure that you are not receiving more than the other parent should be paying. Whilst the system needs an over-haul and has many faults, it is currently the best way to ensure everything is above board. If you are in a DV situation, we HIGHLY recommend having CS collect on your behalf as many abusers will use this system to finically abuse you. Insist on collection going through CS and avoid a private arrangement. This ensures fairness.
